CSIR UGC NET 2018 June Session – Last Date for Application Extended

The last date for CSIR UGC NET 2018 June session has been extended. Candidates can now apply until 06 April 2018.

31 March 2018: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has extended the last date of application for the UGC NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) June session to 06 April 2018. Earlier the last date of application was 26 March 2018.

As per the official notice published on the CSIR website;

“It is notified that the last date for Application for Joint CSIR-UGC Test for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship (NET) June 2018 has been extended up to 06.04.2018.”

The council has also advised the candidates to apply early in order to avoid last minute rush.

The exam is conducted for the post of Lecturer and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship for various subjects under the faculty of Science and Technology.

  • Life Sciences
  • Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences
  • Chemical Sciences
  • Physical Sciences
  • Mathematical Sciences

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates should have passed M.Sc. or equivalent degree/BS-4 years/integrated BS-MS /BE/B.Tech/B.Pharma/MBBS with minimum 55% (General and OBC category). Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category should have 50% marks in any one of the above-mentioned courses.

Age Limit

  • There is no upper age limit for lectureship while the maximum age limit for JRF is 28 years as on 01 January 2018.

CSIR UGC NET 2018 will be conducted at 27 exam centers across the country. There is no provision for TA/DA for attending the exam.
