Hurry! SMU Distance Education Admissions for February 2018 Session till 23 February
SMU distance education admission process is open for various courses. Candidates are advised to apply latest by 23 February for the February 2018 session.
20 February 2018: The Directorate of Distance Education under the Sikkim Manipal University has made an announcement for admissions to all its distance learning programs. The official announcement flashing on the official website states:
“Admission Open: Inviting applications for the academic year 2017-18. All admissions will be directly done by the University.”
Admission Procedure
The admission process at SMU DE can be completed in three steps:
- Receiving Application Form link
- Uploading documents and paying online fee
- Verification of Application
Receiving Application Form Link
- Go to the official website for distance learning.
- Click on the announcement regarding admissions 2017-18 on the top of the home page.
- You will be redirected to a ‘Fast Track Your Application’ page where you can fetch information about a range of UG and PG courses in 4 disciplines.
- Just complete the form with information such as name, email, mobile number, city and course you are interested in. Click on ‘Submit’ button.
- An SMU-DE representative will contact you to get the basic information and application form link will be mailed to you.

You can directly apply through the ‘Request for Info’ section on the home page.
Uploading Documents and Paying Online Fee
Students are required to open the form link and complete it with the details asked for. Upload your documents, make online payment and submit the form to the university.
Verification of Application
University verifies the application form and then the admission status is informed to the student.
Distance learning Courses
Admission applications are invited for courses such as BBA, BCA, B.Sc. (IT), MBA, MCA, M.Sc., etc.
The last date for the admissions to February 2018 session is 23 February 2018 (without late fee) and 10 March 2018 (with late fee of ₹ 1000/-).
