Admission to Veterinary Science and Ayush Courses through NEET 2018 Merit List

NEET 2018 is scheduled for 06 may. From this Academic Year, admission to Veterinary and Ayush courses will be done through NEET merit list.

01 May 2018: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is scheduled to be conducted on 06 May 2018. The exam will be conducted for admission into MBBS and BDS courses offered by government and private medical colleges across the country.

Admission to Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry Courses

For the academic year 2018-19, admission to Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BV Sc and AH) degree courses will be done on the basis of NEET merit list under 15% All India Quota.

The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare said, "All those students desirous to take admission to B.V.Sc & A.H.Degree Courses under 15% seats on All India Basis are hereby advised to appear in NEET (UG) 2018 to be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on 6th May 2018" 

Admission to AYUSH UG Courses

The Ministry of AYUSH has also decided to admit students into various AYUSH undergraduate courses through NEET merit list from the Academic Year 2018-19. A notice has also been released in this regard stating, “All State Government are requested for strict compliance of the instruction of the Ministry and accordingly ensure that admission of students in AYUSH – Under Graduate courses shall be mandatorily through the merit list of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) from the Academic Year 2018-19.”

The Ministry has already started admission to AYUSH PG courses through NEET from last year.

About NEET 2018 Exam

NEET 2018 exam is scheduled to be held on 06 May (Sunday) from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. It is a common medical entrance test conducted on the national level for admission to medical and dental UG courses. The question paper will be set in 11 languages – Hindi, Urdu, English, Gujarati, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Odia, and Bengali. Candidates must adhere to the NEET 2018 dress code on the exam day.
