UPSC has released the admit cards for NDA & NA exam I 2019. Candidates can download the same latest by 21st April.

29th March 2019: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the e-admit cards for the National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (I), 2019 on 29th March 2019.  Candidates who have applied for the exam can download the admit card from the official website –

How to download e-admit card for NDA and NA Examination II?

  • Go to the UPSC official website
  • Under ‘What’s New’ section, click on ‘e-Admit Card: National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2019’ link.
  • Click on the ‘Click Here’ link.
  • Again click on the ‘click here’ link to download the admit card.
  • Read the instructions and click on the ‘Yes’ button.
  • Two options are available to download the admit card – by registration Id or by roll number. Select any one and enter the related information.
  • Click on ‘Submit’ button.
  • Your admit card will appear on the screen. Check all the details carefully and report the discrepancies to UPSC.
  • Download it and take a print out.

The last date to download the e-admit card is 21st April 2019 i.e. the date of NDA & NA I 2019 examination.

Important Points to Remember

  • Candidates must note that admit cards will not be sent through post or email to any candidate.
  • Admit cards are mandatory for entering the examination center.
  • If you find any mistakes/discrepancies in the admit card, report it to UPSC at latest by 11th April 2019. Do not make any changes in the admit card.
  • Electronic gadgets such as laptops, pagers, mobile phones, etc. are not allowed inside the examination centre.

The UPSC NDA & NA I written exam comprises of objective type questions from the following sections:

Candidates who qualify the written examination are called for the interview round conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB). The interview round is of 900 marks.


Candidates who qualify the written exam and interview phase are shortlisted for admission to courses offered at the National Defence Academy (NDA), and Naval Academy (NA). Here are the details on the number of vacancies:

  • National Defence Academy (NDA) – 342 (208 for Army, 92 for Air Force, and 42 for Navy)
  • Naval Academy (NA) - 50

The courses 143rd (at NDA) and 105th (at NA) will commence from 2nd January 2020.
