11 June 2018: The Council of Architecture (CoA) has agreed to re-check the paper for the architecture entrance exam paper. The decision was taken amidst the allegations of unfair marking. Several candidates complained about unexpectedly low marks in the drawing paper. The result for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) 2018 was declared on 5th June.

In an official notice, the council said that the candidates can apply for rechecking of the Drawing paper. The rechecking request can be made on payment of a fee of ₹ 750.

The note by CoA registrar R.K. Oberoi reads, “the office of the Council is in receipts of requests from some students regarding re-evaluation of their drawing papers,"

It further states,

"... based on requests from the students, the competent authority of the Council has decided to allow the candidates to file review of scores awarded to them with a view to ensure that no meritorious or deserving candidate is put to any inconvenience or deprived of justice due to technical glitches if any,"

CoA Vice President, Vikas Garg, told IANS that for the satisfaction of candidates, this time, a different faculty will check the papers. He said, “Rechecking for those applying for it will be done by faculty members other than ones who checked the paper earlier... It will be done in two-three days. We want the entire process to end within 10 days,”
