ICAI CA Exam Postponed in Karnataka Due to Assembly Election Schedule

ICAI CA examination has been postponed for Karnataka exam centres due to assembly polls.

11 April 2018: The Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) has delayed IPC, Intermediate, and CA final exam in Karnataka due to upcoming Assembly Elections. The examination in all other cities will be conducted as per the existing schedule.

CA examinations scheduled to be held on the following dates are postponed for Karnataka:

Please Note: Time and Venue for the examinations will remain same.

The Intermediate (IPC) and Intermediate Examination Group II, Paper 5 (Advanced Accounting), which was earlier scheduled on 11 May, will be conducted on 19 May 2018.

The following examinations scheduled on 12th May will be conducted on 18th May 2018:

  • The CA Final exam (Group II), Paper 6 – Information Systems Control and Audit
  • CA Final exam (Group II), Paper 6 (Elective)
  • CA Foundation exam, Paper 2 – Business Law & Business Correspondence & Reporting
  • PQC (Post Qualification Course) International Taxation – Assessment Test, Paper 2

Examination Centres for Which Exams Are Rescheduled

ICAI examination centres (only in Karnataka) for which the exams have been postponed are:

  • Belgaum
  • Bellary
  • Bengaluru
  • Hubli
  • Mangaluru
  • Mysuru
  • Shimoga
  • Udupi

Apart from these examination centres, there are no changes in the exam schedule for other cities.

Meanwhile, the registration process for ICAI CPT 2018 has started at the official website. Interested candidates can apply for the exam latest by 26th April 2018. Check out ICAI CPT 2018 Exam Schedule here.
