CSIR- UGC NET Aspirants Can Apply Without Category Certificates Says NTA

Candidates applying for CSIR-UGC NET 2020 can now submit their application without category, results certificates.

Good news for CSIR- UGC NET Aspirants. Candidates applying for the 2020 session exam can now submit their applications without uploading any category or result certificate. Yes you heard it right; the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to provide major relaxation measures to CSIR-UGC NET candidates who find it difficult to obtain the compulsory category certificate (SC / ST / OBC / EWS / PwD) or the results certificates that are required for submitting the application form.

The decision has been taken due to the emergency closure by COVID-19 pandemic. Candidates can now submit their CSIR NET application without the category or outcome certificate. Check complete details below.

CSIR NET June 2020 Official NTA Notification

In a recent notification NTA says, the CSIR- UGC NET Aspirants have now been allowed to submit their application even with the category or result certificate. The official notification says:

"In view of the difficulties faced by candidates and a lockdown effect of COVID-19 in the country, the National Evidence Agency has decided to relax the mandatory provision of filing / loading of the certificates, other than the candidate's photograph and signature, when submitting / uploading a company stating that the updated and valid category / result certificate awaits the certification form and any other documents from the competent authority will be provided when required by the CSIR, "reads the official notice.

The reason behind to took this imperative step is to analyse the situation and ease the application process for those who finding difficulty in obtaining mandatory documents due to the nCOV epidemic and lockdown.

What UHRD Minister Tweeter Says?

On Saturday (02nd May 2020), Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Minister for Human Resources Development, tweeted “Dear CSIR-UGC NET 2020 Joint Participants! In view of the difficulties that you face from the blockade # COVID19, I have advised @DG_NTA to relax the mandatory provision of presentation / loading of certificates, apart from the photograph and the signature of the candidate, ".

However, applicants should submit their documents later, when they requested.

Moreover, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has already extended the deadline to request the CSIR-UGC NET 2020 until 15th May. Candidates are advised to apply for the exam online at csirnet.nta.nic.in without any further delay.
