NEET 2017 Counseling Schedule, Result and Merit List

The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) is going to conduct the NEET 2017 counselling process for admission in MBBS/BDS courses from 3 July onwards. The MCC and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India has the responsibility of seat allotment (All India Quota). The counselling will be conducted as per the schedule published by the MCC.

The couselling (All India Quota) will be conducted online for approximately 65,170 seats of MBBS in 470 medical colleges and nearly 25,730 BDS seats in 308 Dental colleges. States will be conducting separate counselling process (two-round) for admission in government and private colleges on state quota seats. Qualified candidates are required to do registration in order to participate in the counselling process.

Please Note: Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu and Kashmir do not participate in central pool of All India Quota seats. So, colleges from these states will not participate in admission process under All India Quota seats. These states will conduct counselling for 100% state quota seats.

Documents required during final stage of counselling – NEET 2017

Candidates have to mandatory carry all these documents (original copies) for admission (at the time of reporting) to the allotted medical and dental college:

  1. Admit card of NEET 2017
  2. Result of NEET 2017
  3. Metric/Class X Certificate (for DOB proof)
  4. Class XII certificate
  5. 10 Passport size photographs (same as affixed in application form)
  6. Identity Proof
  7. Sc/ST category certificate (if applicable) issued by a competent authority
  8. OBC category certificate (if applicable) issued by a competent authority
  9. Physically Handicapped certificate (if applicable) issues by the medical authority as prescribed in NEET 2017 prospectus.

Candidates who fail to present the original documents at the time of admission will not be considered for admission under any circumstances.
