The MHTCET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) is a state level exam of Maharashtra. It is organized by the State Common Entrance Test Cell of the Government of Maharashtra. The exam is conducted for admission in the various streams of Engineering, Pharmacy and Medical Courses. However after the Supreme Court ruling admissions in the Maharashtra Medical colleges are taken on the basis of NEET exam score.


Eligibility for MHTCET Exam

Candidate who want to apply for the exam should fulfill following criteria –

  • He should be a citizen of India.

  • He should have done 12th standard or equivalent from recognized University/ Board or Institution in science stream with the combination of PCM or Biology subject.

  • Candidates who are appearing for their final year exam are also eligible to apply.

  • There is no age limit for the exam. 


MHTCET Exam Admission Process

Application Form Filling

The application form for MHTCET 2017 Exam can be availed online from February 14th, 2017 to March 23rd, 2017. Candidates can also apply on later date but with late fee of Rs. 500. From March 24th, 2017 till March 30th, 2017 candidates can apply for the exam with the late fee. 

  • Candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the MHTCET. There is no other mode or offline mode to apply for the exam.
  • Candidate must select the choice of examination from the given list.
  • By clicking on the official link candidate will be directed to the registration page. Here they are required to fill their personal details to get registered. They should enter their name, address, mobile number and valid email id. Upon entering these details candidate will get registered and will be provided with login details on their given email id.
  • With their login details candidates will get access to the application form.
  • Candidate should fill all the necessary columns of the application form. They are required to give information about their name, address, educational qualifications identification id and communication details.
  • Along with the application form candidate should also upload the scanned copy of their photograph, signature and educational documents.
  • The scanned copy of photograph should in JPEG format. Its dimensional size should be between 15Kb to 50 Kb. Similarly the signature should also be in JPEG format in the dimensional size of 5Kb to 20 Kb.
  • Candidates are also required to submit the application fee along with the form. Without the payment of the application fee form will not be accepted.

 Mode of Payment

Application fee can be paid in both the ways – Online as well as through the offline mode. Candidate should click on the mode of application fee payment.

  • Candidate can pay their application fee online through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Internet Banking/ IMPS/Mobile Wallet.
  • Candidate can also pay through the Bank e-challan mode.

They must take the print out of the filled application form for future use.


MHTCET Exam Pattern (Syllabus)

The MHTCET exam consists of 3 papers. It has objective type questions. Those candidate who want to take admission in engineering course should compulsorily take the exam of Paper -1 and Paper-2.

Admit Card

Candidate should download the admit card from the official website. It can be obtained from the website from April 24th, 2017 till May 11th, 2017 by using one’s login details. It is important to carry one’s admit card at the center of examination. Without admit card candidate will not be allowed to appear for the exam. Admit Card contains the name, roll number, date of exam, time and address of the center of examination. Along with the admit card one should also carry one’s identity card at the center of examination. The Identity Card can be Voter Id, Aadhar Card, Passport, PAN Card, Driving License, Bank Passbook with photograph, recent id proof issued by college or institution or being signed by Gazzetted officer.

Result

The result will be declared by June 4th, 2017. Candidate can see their result on the official website. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the exam. Candidate should take the print copy of their result and keep it safe till the completion of the procedure of the exam.
