The MHT CET or MH CET is the abbreviated form of Maharashtra Common Entrance Test. This is a state level entrance exam organised by the Government of Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell for admission to UG courses in engineering/technology, pharmacy and professional degree courses in Agriculture. Clearing the exam can place interested candidates in the top-notch technical government as well as private colleges in the state of Maharashtra. Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) is the exam-conducting body of MHT CET 2020.

MHT CET 2020 Latest Notification –

MHT CET 2020 result has been announced by the CET Cell, Maharashtra on 28th November 2020. Candidates can check their results of MHT CET 2020 at the official website of CET Cell. The MHT CET 2020 results and the final answer key has been declared on the same day. To check the results, candidates will be required to visit the website and enter their MHT CET 2020 application number and date of birth to check the merit list/result. The list will comprise the names of the candidates shortlisted for the MHT CET 2020 counselling process.

Earlier, on 10th November, the preliminary answer keys for the state common entrance test cell, Maharashtra (MHT-CET 2020) was released. The candidates who had appeared in the exam can raise their objections on answer key till 12th November. With the help of the MHT-CET 2020 answer key, candidates can cross-check their answers and calculate their probable scores in the exam before the declaration of the final result.

The result was announced by 28th November. The CET exams for both PCM and PCB group were held from 01st to 20th October.

MHT CET 2020 Exam Pattern -

The MHTCET 2020 exam will consists of 3 papers. The Paper I and II are compulsory for candidates willing to take up the engineering course. An applicant seeking admission to Pharm. D degree course is required to appear for Paper I and/or Paper III as well as Paper II. The pen and paper mode exam will have objective type questions.

MHTCET 2020 Syllabus -

The MHTCET Syllabus 2020 will comprise the study structure or curriculum of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. 80% weightage will be given to XII standard curriculum, while 20% weightage will be given to the standard XI curriculum. This means you will mainly have to study topics from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. You need to plan your preparation strategy as per the chapters and topics prescribed by the Directorate.

MHT CET Exam 2020 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria of Maharashtra Common Entrance Test 2020 constitute information about the educational qualification of the candidates, their age, nationality, etc. These measures would determine whether they can go ahead with the application process or not. Let’s take a quick look at some of the important MHCET 2020 eligibility criterions.

  • Nationality: The applicants should be citizens of India.
  • Academic Qualification: They should have passed Class 12th or equivalent test from a recognised University/ Board in PCM or PCB subjects.
  • Minimum Marks: To be eligible for MH CET 2020, the minimum mark you need to score in the 12th standard is 50%. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories need to possess 40% marks in aggregate.
  • Qualifying Exam: The candidates appearing in the qualifying exam in 2020 are also eligible to apply.
  • Age Limit: No age bar for the MHTCET exam.

Note: Students from the overseas countries (NRI, PIO, OCI, Gulf Countries, etc.) can get direct admissions to the technical colleges without appearing in the exam. However, such candidates must have passed the minimum qualifying exam with the required marks.


MHT CET Exam 2020 Application Process

The application forms of the MHTCET 2020 exam can only be filled online. The forms are available on the official website from 7th January 2020. Read the instructions carefully before remitting the application fee amount. Forms submitted without the required fee amount will be rejected.

  • Candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the MHTCET.
  • Click on the registration page and fill in the fields with details like name, address, mobile number and valid email id.
  • Upon registration, the login ID and password will be sent on the registered email id.
  • With the login credentials, candidates can get access to the application form.
  • Fill all the necessary columns with appropriate details.
  • Upload the scanned copies of photograph, signature and educational documents.
  • Remit the application fee amount as prescribed by DTE.
  • Take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

The scanned copies should be in JPEG/JPG format. The size of the photograph and signature should be between 15KB to 50 KB and between 5KB to 20 KB respectively.

MHTCET Admit Card

The State Common Entrance Test Cell of Maharashtra has released MHT CET hall ticket 2020 for the special exam. Both PCM and PCB candidates may visit the MHT CET 2020 official website and download their admit cards. Candidates will have to enter their application number and the subject which they applied for in order to download MHT CET admit card 2020 for a special exam. Earlier, Maharashtra CET Cell has released the MHT CET admit cards 2020 for the candidates. The candidates should use their login details to download their admit cards.

The call letter will carry information such as the candidate’s name, roll number, date of the exam, time and address of the examination centre. It is mandatory to produce one photo identity card along with the admit card at the examination centre. The identity card can be

The MHT CET 2020 special exam admit card includes details such as the name and roll number of the students, the name of the examination, slots of exams, reporting time to the exam centre, exam centre name and address, and the instructions to be followed on the day of the exam.

According to the notification available on the official website, students appearing for the MHT CET  examinations are also required to download the ‘Unconditional Undertaking’ for the exam day.

MHTCET Answer Key 2020

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell will release the MHTCET 2020 answer key along with the OMR sheet on the official website. A notice regarding this has been uploaded on its official website. Once the answer key are released, candidates who have appeared in the MHT CET 2020 examination will be able to check the answer key online at mahacet.org.

Candidates who have appeared in the examination will be able to raise objections against the MHT CET answer key by providing appropriate representations on or before 12th November 2020. Marking Scheme of MHT CET Answer Key – How To Calculate

The marking scheme of MHT-CET 2020 answer key is as follows:

  • For the correct answer, two marks are allotted to the candidates in Mathematics.
  • For other subjects, one mark is given to the candidates for correct answers.
  • There is no negative marking in the entrance exam.

The final answer key of MHT CET 2020 is made available by CET cell. The final MHT CET answer key is released based on the challenges received by the candidates on the provisional key. If there are any changes in the provisional key, then the final answer key of MHT CET 2020 is released. Based on the final answer key, MHT CET 2020 raw score is calculated for result preparation.
