KCET Result 2022 – Steps to Download KCET Result, Scorecard, Merit List

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will release the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) 2022 result on the official website on 30th July 2022. Candidates can check their results using the registration number. The KCET 2022 exam is scheduled to be held on 16th, 17th and 18th June 2022 and the result was declared after the exam on 30th July 2022. Following are the steps to download the KCET result 2022.

Steps to Check KCET Result 2022

  • Visit the official website - http://kea.kar.nic.in/
  • Click on the ‘CET-2022 - Results’ link.
  • Now, click on the ‘CTET Results announced’ link.
  • Enter your registration number and click on the Submit button.
  • Your result will appear on the screen.
  • Download and take a printout.

Separate final answer keys for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology will also be made available on the official website.

Details Mentioned on the KCET 2022 Scorecard

The following details will be mentioned on the KCET 2022 scorecard:

  • Qualifying Status

Candidates must check all the details carefully and report any discrepancies to the exam conducting authorities within three days of result declaration. Corrected scorecards of such candidates will be released later.

KCET 2022 Merit List

The merit list will be prepared based on the marks secured by the candidates in the KCET exam and the qualifying exam (10+2). A weightage of 50:50 is given to the KCET score and qualifying exam marks while preparing the merit list.

Apart from the topper lists, the officials also announced that in the year 2020, a total of 80 students have managed to score full marks, i.e., 60/60 in the entrance exam. Going by subject / section-wise break-up of the number of students scoring full marks, around 80 students in Biology subject and 3 students in Chemistry subject, have secured full marks.

KCET Counselling 2022

The examination authority will conduct the KCET 2022 counselling and seat allotment process on the basis of a candidate’s score and rank. Both KEA and the Directorate of Medical Education will integrate the counselling process so that both the medical and engineering students have adequate options. The KCET 2022 counselling process will be held via online mode where candidates are required to register, provide college choices, and lock the same. Seat allotment will be done based on the rank of the candidates, choices provided, and availability of seats. Candidates are required to report to the allotted college for document verification and other admission processes.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) for admission to various engineering, technology, and pharmacy courses offered by colleges in the Karnataka state. Earlier, medical courses were also covered under the purview of the KCET exam. But, after the introduction of NEET, medical and dental admissions are done on the basis of the NEET score.
