IBPS Clerk Exam

The IBPS conducts the common clerical entrance exam known as IBPS Clerk Exam, on behalf of the participating Public Sector Banks to select suitable candidates. The official notification for the IBPS CWE Clerks VII is out. The exam will be conducted in December 2017 and January 2018 for the vacancies of the year 2018-2019.

Since 2011, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Board has been conducting the IBPS clerical exam on a yearly basis. The IBPS CWE Clerks VII 2018 exam is the 7th exam in a row to be conducted by the IBPS. Now it is mandatory to qualify the IBPS CWE (Common Written Exam) to get selected in some Public Sector Banks including Regional Rural Banks of India.

About IBPS Clerical 2018 exam

There are 2 levels of the exam-

  • Preliminary exam
  • Mains exam

A candidate is required to qualify both the levels of the exam to get finally selected for the exam.

It should be noted that there is no Interview after the Mains exam. Candidates are directly selected on the basis of their marks scored in the Mains exam.

The application process for the IBPS clerical 2017 exam will start from 12th, September. The exam dates have been published which are as follows-

  • The Preliminary exam will be conducted on 2nd December, 3rd December, 9th December and 10th December 2017.
  • Mains exam will be conducted on 21st January 2018.

Mains exam pattern

The students who qualify the Preliminary exam should appear for the Mains exam. The Mains exam is also conducted online. In the Main’s exam is divided into4 sections with total 190 questions of 200 marks. The total duration of the exam is 160 minutes.

IBPS Clerk Exam 2018 Eligibility

Educational Qualification

  • A candidate should be Graduation in any discipline from any recognised University.
  • English should be one of the languages either in 10th, 12th or Graduation level.
  • A candidate should have a proof of passing the Graduation exam.

Age limit

A candidate should not be less than 20 years of age and should not be more than 28 years of age.

Nationality

A candidate should be an Indian citizen.


IBPS Clerk Exam 2018 Application Process

Candidates can fill the application form online. They should visit the official portal of the IBPS exam.

Steps to fill the application form -

  • A candidate should visit the official portal of the IBPS. Here they should click on the IBPS CWE clerical 2018 exam.
  • A candidate should get registered on the portal. In order to get registered as a candidate should provide the basic details like name, address, date of birth, email id and phone number.
  • Once a candidate gets registered, login ID and password are sent to the email ID and phone number.
  • By using the login ID and password, a candidate can access the application form.
  • A candidate should fill all the necessary columns of the application form with the requisite details.
  • A candidate should upload the scanned copies of the photograph and signature in the given size.
  • Along with the application form, a candidate should pay the application fee.

Other Details

Admit card

The admit card will be issued by the authorities 7 to 10 days before the date of examination. The admit card will be available online. Candidate can download their admit card from the official website of the IBPS. Candidate should log in on the official website of the IBPS and click on the Admit Card section. They would be required to fill certain details like registration number, name and date of birth. After entering these details, the admit card of the candidates will be displayed. A candidate should take out the print and not forget to carry the admit card on the day of examination.

Result declaration

Soon after the mains exam, results would be declared. The final result will be prepared on the basis of the marks scored by the candidate in the mains exam. The cutoff marks vary every year. It depends upon the number of applicants, number of vacancies and the level of competition in the exam.
