Planning Syllabus (for B.Planning)

General Awareness - General Knowledge questions and knowledge about development issues, prominent cities, government programmes, etc.

Social Sciences - Nationalism, Nationalism in India, 19th-century global economy, pre-modern world, industrialisation, resources and development, colonialism and colonial cities, types of resources, water, agriculture, industries, mineral resources, national economy. Human settlements, power-sharing, political parties, federalism, democracy, the constitution of India. Economic Development - the concept of development, globalisation, economic sectors, poverty, social exclusion and inequality, population structure, rural development, urbanisation, colonial cities.

Thinking Skills - Map reading skills, comprehension, scale, direction, distance, area, etc, understanding of charts, critical reasoning, graphs and tables, basic concepts of statistics and quantitative reasoning.
