The Agriculture Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) conducts the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) National Eligibility Test (NET). ICAR NET 2019 Latest Update - ASRB has postponed the ICAR NET 2019 exam. The exam will now be conducted from 8th to 10th January 2020. Earlier the exam was scheduled to be held from 9th to 15th December 2019.

As per the official notification; “The Board vide its notification of even no. dates 14.10.2019 had notified that the ICAR NET 2019 examination shall be held during 09.12.2019 to 15.12.2019 (tentatively). It is for information of all concerned that due to some administrative reasons, the ICAR-NET 2019 examination has been rescheduled to be held during 06.01.2020 to 10.01.2020.”

ICAR NET Exam 2019 Eligibility

Nationality

A candidate must be either:

  • A citizen of India or
  • A citizen of Bhutan
  • A citizen of Nepal
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 for permanently settling in the country.
  • A person of Indian origin who migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Ethiopia, Zaire, and Vietnam with intention of permanently settling in India

Age Limit

The minimum age limit for the exam as on 1st July 2019 must be 21 years. There is no upper age limit for the exam.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have completed a Master’s degree in the concerned discipline (or related discipline) from a recognised university.


ICAR NET Exam 2019 Application Process

Candidates are required to submit the online application form within the specified time. The applications are accepted only through the online mode. No modifications will be allowed in the application form at later stages. So, candidates are advised to fill the application form carefully.

As per the official notification; “Not more than one application should be submitted by any candidate. In case multiple applications are received from a candidate, the latest valid (completed) application and the discipline opted for therein, will only be considered, ignoring all earlier application(s) and the application fee paid for the other multiple registration(s) will stand forfeited.”

How to Apply for ICAR NET 2019?

  • Visit the official website at http://www.asrb.org.in.
  • Click on the link for NET 2019 application.
  • Complete the registration process by providing details such as email id, mobile number, name, etc. You will receive the log-in credentials in your registered email id.
  • Log-in using the details and complete the application form.
  • Upload the scanned images of photograph and signature. The scanned images should be in .jpg format. The maximum size of the photograph file should be 150 KB and that of the signature file should be 80 KB.
  • Make the application fee payment. The fee payment must be made through the online mode using the Debit card/ Credit card/ Internet Banking.
  • Once the application is complete, take a print of the confirmation page.

ICAR NET 2019 Admit Card

The ICAR NET 2019 Admit Card is released online at the official website. The admit cards are available from 25th December 2019. The admit card can be downloaded using the log-in credentials. Candidates are required to carry any one of the following Identity Card (in original) along with the ICAR NET admit card:

  • PAN Card
  • Passport

Photocopy of the ID card will not be considered. Candidates must possess both the admit card and the ID proof for entering the examination center.
