IBPS RRB Exam 2017 | Detailed Syllabus For Officer Scale II And III

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has released the examination dates for various banking posts. The IBPS RRB Exam 2017 for the Officer’s Scale 2 and Scale 3 is scheduled to be held on November 5th, 2017. There will be a single stage exam for the Officer's Scale 2 and 3 posts. There are 5 sections in this exam, namely, Quantitative aptitude and Data interpretation, Reasoning, Financial awareness, English/Hindi language and Computer knowledge:

Average, Percentage, Time and work, Area,Simplification, Simple and Compound interest, Profit and loss,Time and speed, HCF and LCM, Problems on ages, Bar graph, Pictorial graph, Data interpretation, and Pie chart.


Number series, Coding and decoding, Venn diagram, Problem solving, Techniques, Arithmetic reasoning, Number series, Statements and conclusions type, Non-verbal series, Syllogistic reasoning, and Seating arrangements.

English Language

Sentence correction, Fill in the blanks, Comprehension and Cloze test, Synonyms, Antonyms.

General Awareness

General Science, General Knowledge, Current affairs- National and International,News, Important dates, Current developments in Science and technology, and Sports and culture.

Financial Awareness

Budget and Economic survey, Latest topics in the news relating to the financial world, Monetary policy, Overview of Banking reforms in India, Organization deposits, Credits, Loans, Bank account source of special individuals, Non-performing assets,Asset reconstruction, Bad-loans,Restructuring of loans, Risk management, Articles relating to the risk management, BASEL norms 1,2, and 3.

Computer Awareness

History of computers, Number system, Software, Hardware, Database networking, LAN, WAN, Communication, Basic introduction to Internet concept, History of working environment, Application of security tools, Virus hacker, Logic gates, MS Windows and MS Office.
