The IBPS RRB Exam 2017 has opened a floodgate of opportunity for banking aspirants. For this year’s exam, it has issued notification for 15,337 vacancies for various posts. The Prelims exam is scheduled to be conducted in the month of September 2017 and the Mains in the month of November2017.

For Officers on Scale 1

Prelims Exam Dates- September 9th, 10th, and 16th, 2017.

Mains Exam Dates - November 5th, 2017.

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

Prelims Exam Dates- September 17th, 23rd, and 24th, 2017.

Mains Exam Date- November 12th, 2017.

The examination patterns for IBPS RRB Exam 2017, Officers on Scale 1 and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) are same. Both exams have similar question sections in the Preliminary and Mains exams. The questions asked in the Officers Scale 1 in the IBPS RRB Exam 2017 are more analytical, in-depth and difficult than the Office Assistant (Multipurpose) exam.

In the numerical ability and reasoning sections,the student should focus on those areas from where questions are asked frequently. In the numerical ability section, some of the important topics are – Simplification,Data-Interpretation and Number series. From each of these sections, with an average 5 questions are asked. A student should do a lot of practice in the numerical ability section. This will improve their accuracy and speed of solving the questions.

Similarly, in the reasoning section, some of the important topics are Coded or Mathematical inequalities,Syllogisms,Double line up and Scheduling. From these areas on an average 5 to 7 questions are asked. A student should pay attention to the steps or methods followed in solving the logical puzzles.

For General awareness section, a candidate should listen to news channels or read few newspapers every day.It will be sufficient for tackling the current affairs questions of the IBPS RRB Exam 2017. For computer knowledge section,read any basic book on the computer.
