GCET Exam - Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

GCET 2020 exam dates are announced by the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on 5th and 6th May 2020. Here are some of the frequently asked questions related to the exam.

Question 1: What is GCET?

GCET stands for Goa Common Entrance Test. The exam is conducted for admission to the first year of professional courses such as Pharmacy and Engineering.


Question 2: When will be the application form available?

The application forms will be available from the last week of March 2020.


Question 3: Can I submit the application form through offline mode?

Yes. The application forms will be accepted only through the offline mode.


Question 4: Where to submit the GCET 2020 application form?

The GCET 2020 application form is to be submitted at the respective centre as per the examination centre selected by the candidate.


Question 5: What is the application fee for the ST category candidate?

The application fee for all the categories is the same i.e. Rs. 2000 (Two Thousand).


Question 6: How to download the GCET admit card?

The GCET admit card will be issued in person at the form submitting centre.


Question 7: What will be the duration of the GCET exam?

Each section in the exam will be of 2 hours. There will be three sections - Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.


Question 8: Will there be negative marking in the GCET exam?

No, there is no negative marking.


Question 9: Can I raise an objection against the answer key?

No.


Question 10: Will the counselling process be online?

No, the counselling process and counselling registration process will be offline.
