GATE 2018 Online Registration Ends On 5th October

An official notification said; “Due to last minute rush, the applicants may see slow response from the application portal, which may also lead to failure in payment. Since the application closing date (05th October 2017) is approaching fast, the applicants are advised to submit the application form at the earliest”

According to the exam (GATE 2018) conducting authority, IIT Guwahati; “no extension of application closing date” will be provided for GATE 2018 online registration.

What is GATE?

GATE; Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an entrance examination which is mandatory for admission into master’s programmes in different branches of Science and Technology at IITs and other institutes supported by the Ministry of Human Resources Development. It is also a mandatory exam for seeking financial aid for doctoral programmes.

How to Apply?

Candidates can apply for the GATE 2018 Exam through online application processing portal; GOAPS. Follow the link to complete the registration process. Fill all the details in the application form carefully and check them twice before hitting the “Submit and Proceed to Payment” button.

GATE 2018 Exam Pattern-

GATE is a computer-based test which consists of some numerical answer type question and other Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Candidates are allowed to use only the on-screen virtual calculator. GATE 2018 Exam will be conducted in 23 subjects/papers. Candidates have to appear in any one of the subjects.

GATE score is also considered by the Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) such as BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited), GAIL (Gas Authority of India Limited), IOCL (Indian Oil Corporation Limited), ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation) and more.

Your GATE 2018 exam scores will remain valid for 3 years.
