Result of Engineering Services Preliminary Exam Declared by UPSC

Examsplanner Feb. 26th, 2017: The Union Public Service Commission has released the result of the Engineering Services preliminary exam which was conducted on January 8, 2017.

Candidates who have appeared for the exam can check their results online on the official website The commission has prepared the list of successful candidates which can be seen by candidates. Those candidates who have qualified in the preliminary exam will appear for the Mains exam which is scheduled to be held on May 14, 2017. For different streams of engineering different result has been prepared.

How To Check the Result

Candidate should visit the official website of the UPSC i.e. Here they should click on the ‘what’s new - view all’ option and find the result link. It will direct them to the pdf file of the result. The pdf file contains the roll number of the successful candidates. One can check if it contains their roll number. 

The commission will also publish the cut- off marks or the qualifying marks in the exam. It will also publish the individual marks scored by the candidate.

Admit Card and Mains Exam

Those candidates who have qualified in the preliminary exam will become eligible for the Mains exams. The admit card for the Mains exam will be issued 3 weeks prior to the date of exam. So candidates are advised to keep checking the website for the admit card. There will be two papers in the mains exam. Each paper will be of 300 marks. The questions of the mains exam will be subjective in nature. Candidates will be required to answer specified number of questions out of the given questions.
