UGC NET Syllabus 2022 - Download NTA UGC NET Syllabus for All Subjects (Updated)
The National Testing Agency has released the UGC NET Syllabus 2022 for the upcoming June 2022 NET entrance exam. The official exam dates are also announced through the official notification. With the exam just around the corner, candidates are advised to focus on their preparation. All interested candidates can download the UGC NET Syllabus PDF from this article.
Syllabus Update: The UGC NET Syllabus was revised in 2019, and no changes are made this year.
The UGC NET consists of two papers. Paper 1 is compulsory for all applicants. Whereas for Paper 2, candidates will have to select from the list 82 subjects. In this article, we have provided a detailed syllabus PDF for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). Scroll down to check the paper-wise syllabus and pattern.
Students have an option to opt only for one subject (generally the subject of post-graduation) for appearing in the NET exam. However, before going through the NTA NET syllabus, it is necessary for the candidates to be well-versed with the exam pattern of the UGC NET exam 2022.

UGC NET exam comprises two papers (paper-I and -II) containing multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Candidates need to complete both papers in a single duration of three hours.

- Each question carries 2 marks.
- There will be no negative marking in the exam.
- The exam duration is 1 hour.
- Whenever pictorial questions are set for the sighted candidates, a passage followed by an equal number of questions will be set for the visually handicapped candidates.

UGC NET Syllabus Important Notes -
*Candidates with a Master’s degree in Geography (specialization in Population Studies) or Mathematics/ Statistics are also eligible to appear for the NET exam in the ‘Population Studies’ subject.
**Candidates with a Master’s degree in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences are eligible to appear for the NET exam in the ‘Women Studies’ subject.
We recommend candidates should start their preparation as soon as possible. It is advised that you develop your preparation strategy first. Analyze the syllabus carefully and stick strictly to the topics mentioned therein to understand how many days you need to spend on every topic. That’s where this UGC NET syllabus will be helpful.

If you want to go into teaching, you can do it after a Master degree in your field. And, if you want to appear for UGC NET only, you can do it after completing PG degree. Select a subject related to your stream.
