The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) is conducted for admission into Pharmacy, Agriculture, and Health Sciences courses offered by colleges/institutions in Bihar state. It is a state-level exam conducted through online mode. BCECE 2021 Exam Latest Update - BCECE 2021 applications are expected to be released in the third week of April 2021. The applications are to be submitted only through the online mode via the official website bceceboard.bihar.gov.in.

Chemistry - Basic concepts of Chemistry, States of Matter: Gases and Liquids, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Equilibrium, Thermodynamics, Hydrocarbons, Electrochemistry, Aldehydes, Ketones, and Carboxylic Acids, Alcohols, Phenols, and Ethers, Organic compounds containing Nitrogen, Biomolecules, Polymers, etc.

Physics - Kinematics, Gravitation, Laws of Motion, Electrostatics, Work, Energy, and Power, Heat and Thermodynamics, Current Electricity, Atoms and Nuclei, Optics, Electronic Devices, Communication Systems, etc.

Mathematics - Algebra, Calculus, Sets and Functions, Statistics & Probability, Coordinate Geometry, Linear programming, Probability, Relations and Functions, etc.

BCECE Exam 2021 Eligibility

Candidates must make sure that they are eligible in all aspects before applying for the exam. If they are found ineligible, the admission will be cancelled and the application fee will not be refunded. So, let’s check out the eligibility criteria here.

Educational Qualification

Class 12th or equivalent education from the state board, CBSE, or any other recognised board with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST). Candidates must have studied Mathematics and Physics (compulsory) and any one of the subjects viz. Biology/ Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Technical Vocational subject.

For Pharmacy course, Physics and Chemistry are compulsory subjects with Biology or Mathematics.

Those who have appeared for the final examination of class 12th are also eligible for the BCECE exam if their result is released before the counselling process begins. Candidates must have passed the qualifying exam with the minimum marks.

Age Limit:

For Engineering/ Pharmacy/ Architecture

There is no age limit.

For Agriculture

The minimum age limit should be 16 years as on August 2021.

For Health Sciences

The minimum age limit should be 17 years as on December 2021.


Candidates must be Indian citizen and must have a Bihar state domicile.

BCECE Exam 2021 Application Process

The application forms for the BCECE exam are made available online at the official website. As mentioned in the ‘Eligibility’ section above, candidates are advised to read the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The BCECE 2021 application forms must be submitted within the specified time.

Steps to Apply for the BCECE 2021 Exam


  • Visit the BCECE official website.
  • Click on the ‘Apply for BCECE-2021’ exam link.
  • The instructions to fill the application form will appear on the screen. Please read them carefully and proceed with the registration process.
  • Enter the required details. Ensure that the email ID and mobile number you provide are correct and active, as all the communications related to the exam will be sent on the same.
  • On submitting the information for registration, an OTP will be sent to your mobile number. Use the OTP to activate your account.

Filling the Application Form

  • After the account is activated successfully, click on the sign-in button.
  • Provide the details to sign in and continue with the application form filling process.
  • Provide your personal details and click on the Save & Continue button.

Uploading Photograph and Signature

  • Upload the scanned images of your photograph and signature.
  • After a successful upload, click ‘Save & Continue’.

Provide Educational Information

  • Provide your education information as per your mark sheet.


  • The preview of all the information filled in the above steps will appear on the screen.
  • Check all the details; you can click on the ‘Back to Edit’ to edit any information or tick the declaration link and click on ‘Confirm & Submit’ to move to the next step.
  • Please note that no information can be edited after this.

  • Click on the ‘Proceed to Payment’ button.
  • Select the payment method from Offline and Online mode.
  • Proceed with the steps ahead for successful fee payment.

Download Application Form

Download Part-A and Part-B of the application form and take a print. There is no need for sending the hard copy of the application form to the exam conducting authority’s office.

Other Details

BCECE Exam Admit Card

BCECE 2021 admit card will be uploaded to the official website tentatively in the third week of May 2021. Candidates will be able to download the same using their login credentials. Make sure all the details on the admit card are correct. If not, report the same to the exam conducting authority. Carry the admit card to the examination centre for appearing in the exam.

BCECE Exam Result

BCECE 2021 result will be released on the official website in the third week of June 2021. Those who have appeared for the exam can download the result from the official website using their login details. Separate merit lists will be released for different groups. Rank/ scorecard will also be released after the result announcement.

BCECE Exam Counselling

After the announcement of the result, the online counselling process will be conducted. The counselling process will tentatively begin in the third week of July 2021. Candidates are required to register for the counselling process online at the official website. After registration, candidates must provide their preference and lock their choices. Once, the seat is allotted, download the allotment letter, and report at the allotted institute/ college on the date and time mentioned on the allotment letter. If failed to do so, the allotment will be cancelled.
