SSC CGL 2018 Exam Date: Apply before June 4 to Sit in Exam in July & August

In a recent notification released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), it was mentioned that interested candidates can apply online for the exam till June 4, 2018. Hence, applicants are encouraged to visit only the official website i.e. ssconline.nic.in and complete the formalities as soon as possible. It is suggested not to wait until the last minute as the website might face hassles and crash ultimately.

SSC CGL 2018 Exam Date:

With hardly less than a couple of months to spare for the exam, candidates literally have no time to put off the preparation. The SSC CGL 2018 exam date has been released too. The Staff Selection Commission will conduct the exam in four stages - Tier I, II, III, and IV. The SSC CGL 2018 Tier-I exam will start in the month of August/September 2018. After the Tier-I exam, further notification will be released by the Commission for other Tiers.

SSC CGL 2018 Application Form:

The application process for the SSC CGL 2018 is conducted online. It was started on 5th May 2018 and the last date to apply was 4th June 2018.

Below are detailed steps to fill in the SSC CGL 2018 application form successfully.

  • Visit the official website of SSC (www.ssc.nic.in)
  • In the notice section, look for the link related to the SSC CGL 2018 application form and open it.
  • Click on apply and an online application form window will appear.
  • The application form will be divided into 2 parts as part-I and part-II.
  • In part-I, fill all the personal details along with the post preference.
  • In part-II, upload the scanned images of photograph and signature along with the selection of payment of choice.
  • The general and OBC candidates need to pay an online application fee of ₹ 100/-. There is no application fee for the SC/ST/female/physically handicapped and Ex-serviceman candidates.
  • Submit the application form after reading every detail and do take a print out of the confirmation page as a token of proof.

Note – Make sure your image is not less than 12 KB and is in the JPG/JPEG format.

SSC CGL 2018 Exam Pattern:

Tier I and Tier II exams will be computer based. Tier III is a descriptive paper, which will be held in offline mode. The fourth Tier is a computer proficiency test. This tests the computer skills of the candidates. Once the Tier I exam is over, the dates for Tier II, III and IV will be announced subsequently.

SSC CGL 2018 Exam Pattern:

There will be total 4 Tiers where the Tier-I and Tier-II will be computer-based tests. The Tier-III will be a descriptive test and will be conducted via the offline mode. The Tier-IV is only for the research posts where the computer efficiency and intellect of the aspirants will be judged according to the post’s requirement. After the completion of the Tier-I exam, the exam dates for Tier-II, III and IV will be released gradually.

About SSC CGL exam 2018:

The SSC Combined Graduate Level exam 2018 is conducted to fill in vacancies for Group B and C posts in various Central Government departments. To get selected, it is mandatory to clear all the four stages of the CGL exams. After clearing the exam, candidates will be posted as–
