JEE Main 2019 Correction - How to Rectify Discrepancy in Application Form

The dates for the submission of JEE Main 2019 online application form have been finalised. NTA will be inviting online applications from all the eligible candidates from 1st September 2018. The deadline for the online registration is 30th September 2018. Every candidate must fill up the form correctly and submit the accurate documents. Incomplete form or discrepancy in it can result in the cancellation of the candidature of the students. Hence, the applicants must do the correction within the given time frame to appear in the JEE Main exam. Only after the completion of JEE Main registration process, candidates will be able to make corrections to their application form (in case of any discrepancy or wrong information). The National Testing Agency will tentatively open the JEE Main 2019 correction window in the second week of October 2018.

One More Opportunity for JEE Aspirants:

NTA is going to give a chance to all the JEE aspirants to make the correction in the uploaded images. The application correction process will start after one week of the application closing date. The JEE Main Exam 2019 is a selection gateway for the undergraduate engineering courses in IITs, NITs, CFITs, IIITs and other leading colleges.

Application Form Correction Date:

The candidate must log in to the official website to make a correction or change. There is no other mode of mending the form like email and post. This option is available for one time only to the candidates who have paid the fees for the registration process. They can find out the application and correction dates from the following table:

Steps to Make Correction in Image:

The scanned images of the photograph and signature must be uploaded correctly. The images will be used on the admit card and rank card as well. The format, size and dimension of the image should be as prescribed by the board. The candidates have to upload the images of the photograph of the candidate, signature of the candidate and signature of father or mother or guardian. Points to Remember While Uploading Scanned Images:

  • The Candidates must follow the above-mentioned guidelines while submitting the images.
  • The photograph should bear the name of the candidate and the date of capturing the photo on it.
  • The front face of the candidate must be visible clearly.
  • The aspirants must avoid features like red eye, glare, hat, caps, etc. to get a clear vision
  • The signature must be done on a white clear paper with a dark black or blue pen.

Steps to Change Discrepancy in Previously Uploaded Images:

Uploading images that do not meet the prescribed specifications will result in the rejection of your candidature. Be careful while filling in the application form. In case, there is still a discrepancy, you must rectify it within the given timeframe. Here is the step-by-step guidance on how to remove the discrepancy on the image.

  • Visit the official website of JEE - https://jeemain.nic.in/ or https://nta.ac.in/
  • Select the link ‘Remove Discrepancy in Uploaded Images’ from the left-hand panel of the homepage.
  • The login page will open on the screen.
  • The candidate has to insert the Application Number, Password and Security Pin in the given space.
  • Now click on the ‘Login’ button.
  • Now select the image you want to rectify.
  • Upload the new image.

Now take a print out of the revised application form for future use.
