NEET Exam 2018 Application Form Released Information

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET is the national level examination for the admission in the MBBS and BDS courses in different government and private medical colleges across pan India. The aspirants can apply for the NEET exam 2018 in the month of January. The Central Board of Secondary Education will organize the examination like every year. Here are some information regarding the application form of NEET which may help you to have a hassle free experience.

Few Things You Should Know About the NEET exam Application Form:

  • The registration for the NEET exam will be online only.
  • There is no option of the offline application process
  • It is advisable to read the information bulletin carefully before starting of the application process
  • For the Indian citizen, Aadhaar card is mandatory
  • The aspirants from Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Jammu and Kashmir will need self declaration while applying for NEET to be eligible for the 15% quota
  • The application form will be available from the 1st week till 4th week of January
  • The scanned image of the signature (3-20 KB) and the photograph (10-100 KB) in the JPG format have to upload
  • The correction window for the application will be open in March.

Steps to Apply for the NEET exam:

  1. You need to visit the official website of the NEET
  2. Now select the online services section and tap on the ‘Apply Online’ button
  3. Go through the instructions carefully and select “Proceed to Apply Online NEET (UG) 2018”.
  4. The application form will appear on the screen
  5. The candidate has to fill up all the required information like name, name of the parents, contact details, academic records etc. on the screen
  6. Now verify all the details and then click on the Final Submit button
  7. The candidate will be given a system generated registration number
  8. Now go to the ‘Upload Photo/Signature’ section
  9. Click on the Browse button to select the image of the signature and photograph
  10. Now the candidate must upload the images in the instructed format and size
  11. After uploading the image, click on the ‘Next’ button
  12. Now ‘Choose the payment mode’
  13. The candidate must select the payment mode and complete the procedure
  14. The confirmation page will be displayed after the successful payment procedure.
  15. The candidates can take a print out of the confirmation page for future reference.

Fees for NEET Exam 2018 Application:

The application fees payment is an online process. There are three options for it like; debit or credit card, Net Banking or UPI and E-wallet of the different payment gateway. The candidate has to pay extra service charges for online payment. The application fees are:

Eligibility Criteria for NEET Exam 2018 Application:

  • Nationality: Indian, PIO (Persons of Indian Origin), OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India), NRI & Foreign candidates can apply for NEET exam.
  • Age Limit: The minimum age of the candidate must be 17 years on 31st December of the year of admission and the maximum age should be 25 years (30 years for reserved categories) on the date of examination.
  • Attempt Limit: The candidates can have the maximum attempts for 9 times (GEN/OBC category) & 14 times (for reserved category) for NEET exam.
  • Qualifying Exam: The candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent exam from any recognized council or board.
  • Appearing Candidates: The Students who are appearing in the 12th board examination are also eligible to apply.
  • Subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Biology & Biotechnology or any other elective subject with English in the 12th grade exam.
  • Percentage: The candidates must have secured at least 50% marks for general, 45% for general PH and 40% for SC/ST & OBC categories in the PCB group.
  • Aadhaar Card: Aadhaar Card is mandatory for all Indian citizens, to apply for NEET.
