AFCAT exam is conducted twice a year i.e. AFCAT (I) and AFCAT (II). Here are all the queries related to both the exam sessions and their answers as per the official notification. Check out the FAQs for finding the answers.

Question 1: When will be the AFCAT (II) exam conducted?

AFCAT (II) exam will be conducted on 24th and 25th August 2019.


Question 2: Are the admit cards for the AFCAT (II) exam released?

Yes, the AFCAT (II) admit cards are available at the official website.


Question 3: What is the exact AFCAT (I) 2019 exam commencement date?

The first stage of AFCAT (I) 2019 will be held on 16th and 17th February.


Question 4: In the academic year 2019-20, how many times will the AFCAT exam take place?

AFCAT is conducted two times in a year - February and August. The AFCAT (I) 2019 will be held on 17th and 18th February. The official AFCAT (II) 2019 exam dates have not yet been announced. Check out the tentative dates in the ‘important date’ section above.


Question 5: How much is the application fee for the exam?

The application fee for AFCAT is Rs 250/-.

Yes, aadhaar card is mandatory for AFCAT online registration process.


Question 7: If a candidate is required to travel to take the test, will he or she be provided with any Travelling Allowance?

Yes. Only the first-time exam takers enjoy the facility.


Question 8: Can I make any corrections in the details of online application form after submission?

No. Details once provided will be considered final. Hence, applicants are advised to fill in the online application form with extra care.

Question 11: In how many cities the AFCAT exam is conducted?

Question 12: Can a candidate request to change the allotted centre once the list is out?

Candidates should note that no request for change of centre will be entertained’. However, the exam centres will be allotted as per their choice, given while filling in the form.
